Kasipedia is the African township encyclopedia. We house various articles and posts on all things township related.
The name “Kasipedia” is a portmanteau of the words Kasi and encyclopedia. Kasipedia’s articles provide links designed to guide the user to related pages with additional information.
Kasipedia.com is written collaboratively by largely anonymous volunteers who write without pay. Anyone with Internet access can write and submit articles to Kasipedia. Users can contribute anonymously, under a pseudonym, or, if they choose to, with their real identity.
Communities that seek to have top talent, high literacy and vibrant economies must develop the ‘soft’ skills of leadership. E-learning systems have certainly improved the efficiency of industrial learning, but don’t serve the knowledge worker environment well. Root Hope’s project KASIPEDIA is a platform designed to support a new approach to electronic/mobile learning & information dispersion. Through KASIPEDIA, Rooting Hope uses a systematic approach to provide African townships with access to digital content for the enablement of learning, for encouraging economic inclusion and development, for entertainment and for facilitating give-back intiatives that are mainly focused on townships.
Rooting Hope is a registered Non Profit Organization and Public Benefit Organization.
